OPAL is a curated artist cooperative and creative placemaking initiative dedicated to supporting emerging and mid-career artists from underrepresented communities. OPAL counters structural barriers artists face in accessing professional opportunities, fair compensation, and visibility within cultural and institutional ecosystems. By providing shared business infrastructure and sustainability-focused material access, OPAL is creating an equitable foundation for artists to thrive and build sustainable creative practices.

OPAL community-centered programming and institutional partnerships foster inclusive creative spaces that benefit not only our member artists but also students, local residents, and cultural institutions.
